Position Summary/Description:

The Finance Manager position is one of multiple supervisor positions within the Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases Business Office. This position will oversee up to 5 employees while also providing financial oversight of their own individual portfolio. This position is complex in nature due to the intricacy of the Institute which includes international sites which differentiates it from other units in the School and across campus. IGHID manages various funding mechanisms such as U-Grants, R-Grants, P-Grants, as well as Training and Fellowship (T32's and D43). This position will oversee the day-to-day activity of the accounting staff they are managing along with consultation from the Administrative Director. This position's primary functions will include grants management and monitoring, reporting and auditing, personnel/supervision and special projects.

Education and Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of university policies and procedures regulating the administration of sponsored projects
• Five plus years of accounting experience
• Experience working in a team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft excel

Essential Skills:

• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Experience with PeopleSoft
