JOB SUMMARY
The College of Engineering is seeking dynamic and team-oriented candidates for a full-time Administrative Program Support 4 position for the School of Computing. Under the supervision of the School Director and the Associate Finance Director for the College, the incumbent will oversee the unit’s fiscal operations and will provide administrative support to the School. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising support staff and will be expected to manage departmental day-to-day operations as they align with the School’s policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field and four to five years of related professional experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience in fiscal operations including financial reporting and financial management.
- One year of experience serving in a supervisory role to support staff.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with the ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, organization, written and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in a higher education setting.
- Ability to process multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to work with diverse student, administrative, and faculty populations and provide a commitment to the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in an educational setting.
- Excellent computer skills including experience with Microsoft programs and familiarity with virtual communication platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Creativity and adaptability to perform new tasks and learn new skills as the need arises.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
This is a full-time position. The University offers a competitive salary, outstanding benefits including employee and dependent tuition waivers at UConn, and a highly desirable work environment. Salary will be commensurate with the successful candidate's background and experience. Other rights, terms, and conditions of employment are contained in the collective bargaining agreement between the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut Professional Employees Association (UCPEA).
