Job Summary/Responsibilities | Assist Office Manager with general office duties including: + Pleasantly greeting and directing visitors. + File creation, scanning, photocopying, faxing. + Receiving and sorting incoming mail. + Running errands to other departments on campus. + Uploading course syllabi in departmental drives. + Posting memos of faculty office hours. + Order office supplies for the department. + Other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and Office Manager. With appropriate training, tasks may also include: + Updating department website. + Preparing programs communication materials. + Assisting with department social media presence. |
Required Qualifications | Applicants for this position MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR AND ACCEPT Federal Work Study Funding; must be enrolled in at least six semester hours; and must have met satisfactory academic progress requirements in order to receive financial aid. Must attach a copy or screenshot of email from the FWS Coordinator indicating your eligibility as “Other Doc”. + Detailed Oriented. + Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint, etc. + Excellent communication and organizational skills. + Highly self-motivated, dependable, trustworthy and respectful. + A strong desire to serve student, faculty, and other visitors of the department. + Ability to master basic office procedures and relevant software. + Willingness to learn and adapt as position necessitates. |
