Summary of Position
The Family Empowerment and Lived Experience Integration Academy Coordinator (FELEIA) position is a full-time staff position for the Child Welfare Education Partnership at the University of New Hampshire’s College of Professional Studies. This program integrates the study of strategic thinking, family structure, DCYF Practice Model, social work, juvenile justice, family dynamics, and organizational culture into a unique and focused educational experience designed to help to prepare, guide, and advance a rewarding career suited to the Human Services professional.

Other minimum qualifications
  • Lived experience within the child welfare system.
  • High school diploma is required.
  • Travel is required.
Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the DCYF Parent Leader program and working with relative caregivers is preferred.
  • Personal experience with the NH child welfare system and/or juvenile justice is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area is preferred (e.g. Human Services, Social Work, Juvenile Justice, or Education). Each year of experience integrating lived experience is a substitute for formal education. Candidates willing to pursue their education may also be given preference.
