The successful candidate must be skilled in supply chain management concepts and practices and be able to apply that knowledge and experience to create a challenging and real-world focused student learning experience. Ability to work remotely, stay engaged, and maintain base hours as well as flex hours as necessary to meet job requirements. This job is much more than a teaching job. It requires ongoing curriculum development, programmatic reviews, mentoring and supervision of associate faculty, professional development, committee service, and collaborative projects with other departments within the University.

Essential Job Duties:
Teaching Responsibilities
Faculty should demonstrate exemplary teaching in their discipline. Teaching includes content delivery, student mentoring and assessment of student learning. All Faculty will carry a teaching load requirement, determined annually. Additionally, Faculty are responsible for:
Demonstrating awareness of and responding to the diverse needs of all students.
Displaying a thorough knowledge of both the curriculum and the subject matter.
Facilitating instructional materials and providing guidance and feedback to all students.
Setting high expectations for student achievement and behavior.
Evaluating student performance via established rubrics and policies.
Responding to student emails and inquiries in a timely manner.
Addressing plagiarism concerns according to university policy.
Collaborating with student-facing institutional personnel to enhance the student experience.
All Faculty will carry a teaching load requirement, determined annually.
Student Success
Implement retention, persistence, graduation, and student success initiatives as guided by college and University leadership.
Contribute to student success through regular interaction with student enrollment and academic advisors.
Support program and emphasis development activities, course development, and assessment.
Support college leadership in evaluation of teaching efficacy within college and faculty coaching.
Collaborate with other university departments to ensure a positive experience for all university students.
Service & Scholarship
Non-teaching job responsibilities include both a service and scholarship component. Scholarship and Service responsibilities are expected of all full-time faculty. Please refer to the Faculty Handbook to review what is defined under scholarship and service responsibilities.
Examples of General Internal Service
Participation in faculty governance (Representative, Committee Chair, etc.)
Leader of contributor of a university-wide or college committee
Collaboration with college or university teams to develop and implement new initiatives
Contributing to student welfare through regular interaction with student enrollment and academic advisors
Providing support for accreditation and licensure efforts to ensure course meets career and discipline goals
Collaboration with other university departments to ensure a positive experience for all university students
Examples of Internal Service & Scholarship in Program and Course Design
Researches and recommends materials, resources, and textbook needs within the subject area
Coordinates subject area efforts in the implementation of program learning outcomes , goals and objectives, as well as policies and procedures regarding instructional and academic support programs
Collaborates with both full-time and associate faculty in making curricular changes/additions as needed
Collaborates with the Institutional Assessment Office to ensure course learning and institutional outcome assessment
Engages in scholarly activities which may include discovery, integration, application, and/or teaching which are related to the course in question
Examples of Internal Service & Scholarship in Faculty Development Areas:
We expect all core faculty to engage in the development of self as well as the others they coach. Faculty should seek opportunities to stay current within their field as well as enhance their instructional practice. It is important to note, that they must assist the program chair and college leadership in the oversight and continuous improvement of associate faculty.
Develops resources for full-time and associate faculty
Functions as a resource and coaches designated associate faculty
Supports new associate faculty through directed second course support
Evaluates faculty through the annual Instructional Quality Review
Develops/supports faculty forums and other professional development activities within the program
Examples of External Service
Creates and/or maintains specific and directed community outreach efforts to enhance brand-awareness of the institution, college, or program
Engages in community development activities involving disciplinary expertise
Gives presentations or performances for the public
Participates in collaborative endeavors with other organizations in the community and/or discipline
Other Duties:
Participate in meetings (onsite and virtual) as directed
Maintain regular work hours coordinated with supervisor
Perform other duties as assigned in collaboration with College Leadership
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skilled in Supply Chain Management concepts and practices
Able to apply knowledge and experience to create a challenging and real-world focused student learning experience in an asynchronous environment
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in Supply Chain Management or Business with at least 16 graduate units in the area of supply chain management
Five years of related experience in supply chain management
Three years of teaching and leadership experience in supply chain management
Knowledge of accreditation standards and learning assessment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule that requires travel and occasionally work on evenings and weekends
Online course development
Preferred Qualifications:
Earned doctorate in Business with emphasis in supply chain management
Education and academic experience in project management
Current industry certification from ASCM (Association of Supply Chain Management) and PMI (Project Management Institute)
Minimum 5 years career experience relevant to supply chain and project management
Minimum 7 years of college teaching experience
Experience in course development
Strong interpersonal communication abilities
Strong organizational skills
Experience with teaching adult learners in an online environment
Collaborative and result-focused leadership style

Rate of Pay: $70,000 - $75,000
Compensation Type: Salary at 1.0 Full-Time Equivalency (FTE)
