Science and Mathematics

The Cedarville University School of Science and Mathematics is accepting faculty applications in the field of Geology. Responsibilities may include teaching earth science, physical and historical geology, and upper-level courses related to the Geology major. The faculty member will also serve as an advisor to Geology majors.

The successful candidate will have teaching experience and be able to instruct students in laboratory procedures and lead field studies. Rank and tenure status will be determined based on the candidate’s credentials and experience.

This position is subject to the University’s verification of credentials along with other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a background check. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. This position is pending budget approval. This position is located in Cedarville, Ohio.

Position Requirements:

• Ph.D. in Geology or closely related field
• Research, publication, and teaching experience preferred, or a background in environmental, hydrogeology, and/or geological consulting
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Documented successful teaching experience
• Commitment to young earth, six-day creation, and a global flood
• Committed to biblical integration in and out of the classroom
• Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian
• Qualified applicant must agree with and be willing to abide by Cedarville University’s Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Work Place Standards
