The School of Allied Health and Psychology is accepting applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Exercise Science or Allied Health. This faculty position interacts with majors and non-majors alike, preparing future health care providers to serve, teaching and modeling God-honoring stewardship. This position requires full-time teaching in the undergraduate areas of Exercise Science, Allied Health, and Sport Medicine.

Additional expectations include academic advising, professional development, scholarly activity in the field, university service, committee membership and professional activity on campus and with external stakeholders, participation in program accreditation processes as necessary, and maintaining academic credentials as well as discipline-specific research/methodology/pedagogy.

The teaching load includes twenty-four semester credit hours of teaching responsibility, or the equivalent each academic year of two semesters.

This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials along with other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a background check. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. This position is pending budget approval. This position is located in Cedarville, Ohio.

Position Requirements:

• Terminal degree in Exercise Science or a related discipline preferred. No less than a Master’s degree in the discipline required.
• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a related discipline at the college/university level, as well as documented teaching experience.
• CSCS certification preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a collaborative team member
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated commitment to professional and personal investment in students
• Commitment to biblical integration in and out of the classroom
• Familiarity with Canvas and other software packages
• Commitment to education, scholarship, and service based on university and school expectations
• Qualified applicant must be a born-again Christian with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ
