The University of Pittsburgh, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology is seeking a Research Assistant Professor, appointment stream to conduct multiple projects including the identification of novel regulators of cardiomyocyte DNA synthesis and novel regulators of cardiomyocyte natriuretic peptide signaling.

Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Biology, Philosophy, or a related field. This position requires at least 3 years of experience in how to culture and differentiate human induced pluripotent stem cells through our specific protocols and university policies and procedures. They must also have experience in how to perform mouse echocardiography to assess LV systolic and diastolic function and transaortic gradients. Soumojit is also spearheading a project using proteomics to identify novel protein post-translational modifications.
