We seek a highly motivated, faculty-level investigator (clinician scientist or clinician track) with training in hematology and oncology or clinical genetics and a strong interest and experience in hereditary predisposition to cancer. The faculty member will be housed in the Division of Cancer Predisposition  a unique Section within the Department of Oncology  that is solely dedicated to the evaluation and management of children and families at increased genetic risk for cancer.

The Division provides a highly collaborative and interactive environment where the faculty member will have ample opportunities to participate in clinical, educational and translational research initiatives centered around clinical germline genomics and the incorporation of germline genomic information into patient care. As an integral member of a team of other physician-investigators, advanced practice providers, genetic counselors and nurses, the faculty member will be able to carry out clinical and research projects focused on advancing understanding of childhood cancers and improving upon their treatment. The faculty member will have access to research assistants, computational biologists, genome scientists, and many other essential resources, which will facilitate their research investigations and ensure their success.

It is essential that candidates have an MD, MD/PhD or DO degree and be Board certified or Board-eligible in clinical genetics and/or hematology-oncology (pediatric or adult), as the faculty member will be involved in clinical care.

Successful candidates will have expertise in the areas of hematology and oncology and/or clinical genetics with a focus on hereditary cancer.
