The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at Grand Canyon University is seeking a full time Faculty member for Adult Health II/Critical Care. Imagine being a dynamic educator, guiding nursing students through the journey of learning and becoming a competent future nurse. Your role involves teaching one or more subjects using a designed curriculum, making the learning process engaging and enjoyable for students. You'll infuse real life case scenarios that broaden students' perspectives. In skills lab setting you will foster critical thinking among students. You'll facilitate their growth through performance-based assessments and checkoffs, ensuring they not only understand the material but can apply it confidently.

Position: This is a Full Time -12month faculty role located on ground at our Phoenix, Arizona campus.

Schedule: 7:3am to 5pm Monday thru Friday

Compensation: Based on years of nursing practice, teaching, and degree level

Benefits: full benefits including tuition package

What you will do:

  • Teach one or more subjects within prescribed curriculum to facilitate and engage students in the learning process
  • Compile bibliographies of specialized materials for outside reading assignments
  • Engaging with students in the skills lab setting to promote critical thinking
  • Will facilitate students thru performance-based assessments and checkoffs
  • Remain current with evidence-based practice and development in his/her field of expertise
  • Collaborating with a team of nurse educators and professionals

What you need:

  • Master’s degree required (MSN), Doctoral preferred or pursuing
  • 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience
  • Must have experience in Critical Care
  • Teaching experience preferred
  • Unencumbered, current RN Licensure in Arizona or a compact state required
  • Must successfully pass a drug test
  • Evidence of involvement in one’s professional area (e.g. membership in professional organizations, presentations, research, and/or publications
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University
