Position Summary | UNM Facilities Management (FM) has a great entry level opportunity for any motivated individual who wants to begin a career in the trades field. As a Facilities Services Tech you will join our team in FM Area Three which services the Southeast side of campus. The qualified candidate will perform a wide range of facilities services tasks including non-technical maintenance of plumbing, electrical, heating, ventilating, and/or air conditioning facilities and equipment, at a level not requiring formal licensure. This position may also be required to perform tasks of other unlicensed trades, such as a light equipment operator, carpenter, painter, and/or locksmith. Facilities Management is responsible for the care and upkeep of the physical campus and built environment. Totaling more than 12 million square feet of interior space and 680 acres of land. Minimum Qualifications | High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis. |
