JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibilities of this position include the management of the building and grounds including maintenance, cleaning, snow removal, paint, lawn and landscaping, waste removal, event setup, cleaning and buffing of floors and security of the Rochester campuses to ensure that the campuses are kept in good condition at all times.

Work week at times will be adjusted to cover holidays and evening hours when other building staff is on vacation. 

Functions:

  • Determine and manage the facility and security needs of the campus.
  • Secure bids for campus outsourced services and campus improvements.
  • Manage all outsourced services; including cleaning, snow removal and landscaping.
  • Coordinate and maintain the facilities in compliance with the appropriate Fire and Safety rules and regulations
  • Arrange and perform fire drills, arrange and coordinate fire safety inspections and systems tests.
  • Open campus.
  • Coordinate classroom set up and breakdown for all special events.
  • Manage classroom readiness for each semester.
  • Manage the facilities budget.
  • Manage capital improvement projects.
  • Manage a preventative maintenance schedule for the campus.
  • Oversee receiving and delivery of shipments.
  • Organizing and maintaining storage areas, including coordinating future record keeping initiatives.
  • Assemble furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
  • Move furniture and equipment when necessary.
  • Perform security duties while on campus.
  • Participate as a member of the campuses administrative team as required.
  • Communicate any facilities concerns to Campus Director.
  • Ensure all inspection requirements are scheduled and up-to-date.
  • Act as backup for Evening Custodian when on vacation.
  • React calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Campus Director.

Minimum Requirements:

Associates Degree a plus. Must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a diverse group, in a fast-paced environment. Computer skills required in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of maintenance and facility management process required. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Personal transportation is required.  

Salary:  $53,000-$57,000 ($25.48 - $27.40 per hour)

This position is eligible for overtime.
