As an integral part of USC Museums, the Pacific Asia Museum creates inspiring encounters with the art, history and culture of Pacific Asia to promote intercultural understanding in the service of elevating our shared sense of humanity.

Here at the USC Museums, we are looking for a full time Facilities Attendant to provide maintenance, attendant and custodial services for one or more major University facilities. We are looking for someone to be onsite Tuesday-Saturday.

RESPONSIBILITIE S AND DUTIES

Facilities Coordination

  • Support supervisor with day-to-day building maintenance and troubleshooting as needed
  • The position is solely responsible for the custodial and facility oversight of the museum, both public spaces and back of house spaces
  • The position plays a pivotal role in keeping the museum clean and safe for staff and guests.
  • Provides custodial services for assigned residential facilities. Includes general cleaning, scrubbing, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, polishing, and mopping of facilities and/or equipment, restocking of linens. Counts, sorts and prepares soiled linens for shipment to laundry service. Counts and sorts clean linen returned from laundry service.
  • Performs basic ground maintenance of site and staff housing areas. Includes trash removal and dumping, raking, pruning and weeding.
  • Provides Facilities Manager with information regarding facilities usage, damage,
  • and repair or maintenance needs.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies
  • Assist with set up and tear down of museum spaces for special events/programming
  • Flexible schedule to work occasional Sundays and evenings depending on museum calendar and needs.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS


  • Minimum Field of Expertise
  • Minimum Education: High School or Minimum Experience: 2-3 years job experience
  • Preferred Education: B.A. degree but not required
  • Preferred Experience: facilities, admin, events and/or museum
  • Preferred Field Expertise:

The hourly rate range for this position is $16.90 - $20.65.
