Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking an External Relations and Marketing Event Assistant - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Design print and digital announcements and publicity content about Library services, events, activities for social media, newsletters, and additional marketing media.

  • Increase student engagement by supporting the development and execution of library programs.

  • Represent FAU Libraries at on-campus activities.

  • Aid with day-to-day office operations and provide assistance to staff as needed.

  • Attend all mandatory staff meetings, trainings and attend library events as needed.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization required.

Salary:

$13.00 per hour.

Work Days and Hours:

Monday - Friday, part time - up to 29 hours per week. Varying/flexible schedule, and occasional weekend and evening hours as needed.

Temporary positions are not established positions and are paid from OPS funds. Temporary positions are usually not eligible for benefits and retirement; however, they may be eligible for health insurance coverage depending on the average hours worked per week. They provide full-time or part-time employment in an exempt or non-exempt employment situation based on job duties and salary in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Temporary positions do not have layoff rights and may be terminated without prior notice.
