You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Froedtert Hospital Foundation, the Froedtert/MCW Healthcare Philanthropy program, and the database management and analysis initiatives, including a team of 4 database professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages all facets of the Froedtert Hospital Foundation including fund management, grant administration, audits, internal relations (hospital and physician leaders), and external relations (community leaders, Froedtert Trustees). The Executive Director is also responsible for implementing and managing a new software tool focused on grant administration and fund management.
  • Manages all aspects of the Froedtert and MCW Healthcare Philanthropy program (HCP). Includes program operations, data acquisition, processes and procedures, training physician champions, training development officers and staff, and building and managing key performance indicators that define success of the program.
  • The Managing Senior Director serves as the program’s primary point of contact for the Office of Institutional Advancement (OIA) for executive leadership, physician partners, and the Froedtert’s Department of Guest and Patient Services. As the leader of Healthcare Philanthropy for OIA, the Senior Director also leads the department’s HIPAA training program. Leads the clinicians and faculty for purposes of procuring philanthropy.
  • Manages all aspects of the department’s database, data acquisition and data analysis initiatives. Manages a team of 4 professionals including 3 database analysts and 1 application system analyst. Leads the implementation and ongoing operations for database software tools including Raiser’s Edge, Qlik and Omatic.
  • The Managing Senior Director serves as the department leader and point of contact for all data-related initiatives. Identifies philanthropic opportunity through a data-driven lens. Provides guidance on constituencies to explore aligned with philanthropic priorities. Develops operational data-driven strategies to enhance philanthropic support for the institution’s highest priorities.
  • Serves as a partner with the Vice President and Chief Development Officer in managing relationships with institutional donors of Froedtert Hospital, inclusive of the Froedtert Memorial Lutheran Hospital Trust. Includes external relations with the Trustees and internal relations with key stakeholders of Froedtert’s philanthropic priority pillars (workforce development, technology translational research). Serves as a strategic partner for stewarding the Trust including delivering quarterly reports, and bi-annual meetings with executive leaders and Trustees.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact to all Froedtert Hospital leadership and clinicians on behalf of the Office of Institutional Advancement. Establishes and manages relationships with executive leadership at Froedtert Hospital to deepen engagement with the Office of Institutional Advancement.

Knowledge of all aspects of fundraising concepts, techniques and procedures. Preferred experience with philanthropic campaigns.

Minimum Qualifications:
Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum education: Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum experience: 10+ years in the Advancement field, with a preference for experience in the higher education or healthcare sectors

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Experience: proven track record of closing six-figure+ gifts in a complex organization
