Essential Job Duties | This position serves as the Executive Assistant for the North Carolina Agricultural Research Service (NCARS) in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS). The Executive Assistant reports to the Associate Dean who serves as the Director of the NCARS. The position directly supports the Associate Dean & Director of NCARS, the Assistant Director of NCARS, and the Director of Research Partnerships. The position serves as a backup to the NCARS University Program Specialist as needed. Position functions independently to develop, administer, and manage comprehensive administrative responsibilities on behalf of the Associate Dean and Director(s). Responsibilities include:

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education | High School diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or graduation with an associate’s degree in Secretarial Science, Business Administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
