Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
 

This position is responsible for directing and assisting all set-up, technical support and tear-down functions of event services involving University facilities and equipment.

  • Responsible for facilitating the set-up, support, tear down of equipment and, in coordination with Security, the securing of event spaces as assigned by the Associate Director of Event Services.
  • Responsible for being the on-site event contact and support technician for event related services.
  • Responsible for overseeing student and vendor labor crews in assisting with room conversions / set-ups.
  • Responsible for assisting with deliveries and special requests as assigned by the Associate Director of Event Services.
  • Assist in the training of student and vendor labor as assigned by the Event Operations Manager or Director of Event Services.
  • Responsible for reporting maintenance requests for damages and repairs.
  • Assist in the daily operation of Event Services.

Required Education High School diploma; some college coursework preferred.
   
Required Experience 1-2 years of previous experience in facility setup operations, including working with audio visual technical equipment.

 


The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check satisfactory to the University.
