Job Details | EVENT COORDINATOR Coastal Carolina University is currently accepting applications for the following position: Event Coordinator in Presidential Events and University Ceremonies. Duties include, but are not limited to: · Maintains the flow of information within the department of Presidential Events and University Ceremonies: generates required correspondence, manages all mailings, creates event folders, maintains event files, scans documents, makes copies, answers office telephone and maintains event budget expenditures. · Prepares, edits, and proofreads informational materials for internal and external communication. · Assist with the printing of invitations, envelopes, postcards, menu cards, seating charts, and place cards. · Coordinates catering specifications and submits room reservations through 25Live. · Prepares prerequisite work orders for room set-up, transportation, and audio visual. · Liaises with the Public Safety Department regarding capacity and event parking plans. · Serve as on-site events staff by assisting with event set-up, breakdown, host and assistance at the registration table. · Coordinate the mailing, ticket requests and payment for the President’s Football Suite for all Board of Trustee members and Legislators. · Manage all commencement ceremonies to include – scheduling meetings and locations of full commencement committee members, placing work orders, securing vendors, and requesting volunteers. · Coordinates items for University promotion for auctions and community events including but not limited to gift baskets, speaker gifts, LIFE Program tree and other promotional giveaways. · Direct monitoring and reconciliation of staff procurement card and travel card expenses. Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and at least two (2) years of relevant experience is required. At least two (2) years of relevant special events experience in a University setting is preferred. Required Qualifications | A bachelor’s degree. At least two (2) years of relevant experience. |
