Description of Work Unit | The Integrated Solid Waste Section (ISW) exists to provide a clean campus on which to study, work and live. We remove solid waste from campus according to the ISW plan which maximizes the reuse of campus waste through recycling and composting with landfilling as a last resort. |
Position Summary | This position exists to efficiently and effectively collect, process, bag and deliver compost materials. The regular work schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Overtime is occasionally required. |

Duty/Responsibility | Collect compostable materials from campus and deliver to composting site for in-vessel and windrow operations. Assist in Maintaining in-vessel composter, Bagging equipment and Compost Screener. Report any repair problems to the ISW Manger. Maintain composting area and finished product composting storage area. In performing this function, the employee operates and perform minor maintenance on an 11050 GVW Cube Van and ¾ ton pick-up truck. |
