Position Summary
Responsible for planning, analyzing, designing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining Epic software applications. Builds collaborative relationships with hospital leadership, clinical department users, IS and other corporate departments to facilitate usage and acceptance of the system. This individual will be assigned to more complex build and configuration tasks and resolve advanced issues. Frequently serves as a liaison between Infrastructure and/or vendor technical contacts. May be responsible for system integrity.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Configures, modifies, tests, implements, maintains, and supports applications software. Develops thorough application knowledge within specific areas of focus. Write and maintain system documentation.
  • Understands the workflow and business requirements and has the ability to build/modify the system to meet business specifications. Thorough understanding of possible ramifications to business process as well as other system applications. Provides resolutions and guidance to end-users on best practices and guidelines.
  • Provides solutions or resolves end-user system issues.
  • Leads others to solve complex problems. May lead functional teams or projects.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Performs other responsibilities, as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and Epic certification.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent high school certification and five to ten years experience.
  • Required Licensure/Certification/Registration: Epic certification within six months of hire/transfer date or within six weeks of last Epic class completion, whichever is sooner.

Salary Range
$73,700.00 - $125,900.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
