The Center for Information Technology Services (CITS) has an exciting opportunity available for an IT Application Developer or Senior IT Application Developer for Enterprise Applications. The selected candidate will be part of a team responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining Integrations to support various cloud products including but not limited to Oracle Cloud Financial, HCM applications, SAP Concur Travel and CRM applications. Under general direction, the developer will design, develop and implement integrations and operational reporting using Oracle Cloud technologies and other contemporary cloud application tools.

The Application Developer will develop, modify, and support integrations using Oracle Integrations Cloud (OIC), PLSQL and XML technologies. Coordinate testing integrations of SOAP and REST-based web services.

The Senior Application Developer will independently gather requirements, design, and develop Integrations using Oracle Integrations Cloud (OIC), PLSQL and XML technologies. Lead and coordinate testing integrations of SOAP and REST-based web services. Collaborate with other technical teams for successful integration of the interfaces.

This position will be filled as either the IT Enterprise Application Developer or the Senior Enterprise Application Developer based on the chosen candidate's qualifications.

PRIMARY DUTIES - IT Enterprise Application Developer

  • Design, develop and test integrations and extensions to Oracle Cloud ERP, Cloud HCM, SAP Concur, CRM and other applications using Oracle Integration Cloud technology, PLSQL and XML.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather integration requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Run and analyze application reports for operational support.
  • Troubleshoot issues with application integrations logic and processing.
  • Understand and consistently apply current software development methodologies.
  • Ensure system integrity and efficiency. 
  • Communicate and coordinate with other team members to ensure project goals are met.
  • Conduct testing and debugging of integration solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and performance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

PRIMARY DUTIES - Senior IT Enterprise Application Developer

Perform all duties of the IT Enterprise Application Developer including:

  • Act as an applications expert for campus functional staff and central office staff for some application modules.
  • Independently gather requirements, design, and develop Integrations using Oracle Integrations Cloud (OIC), PLSQL and XML technologies.
  • Lead and coordinate testing integrations of SOAP and REST-based web services. 
  • Collaborate with other technical teams for successful integration of the interfaces.
  • Document integration processes, technical specifications, and best practices.
  • Design and develop application reports for operational support.
  • Design and develop tools to ensure system integrity and efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications

  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - IT Enterprise Application Developer

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.

Experience: Two (2) years of experience with ERP software packages (e.g. PeopleSoft/Oracle, Banner, etc.), or other enterprise wide application software (e.g. COEUS, Maximus ERS).

Preferred Experience: Experience with Integration tools like OIC or SOA, PLSQL, SQL, XML and JSON to integrate Oracle Cloud Financials and Cloud HCM, SAP Concur, CRM, and other enterprise applications, both on-premises and cloud hosted. Experience integrating and extending Oracle ERP or HCM Cloud Services using technology components including but not limited to OIC, PLSQL and SQL. Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud technology to design and develop integration solutions between enterprise apps: Database, Web Service, and Oracle applications. Experience with JDeveloper and SQL developer. Experience developing integrations utilizing FBDI, HDL, HCM Extracts, BIP and OTBI. Experience developing, configuring, and consuming SOAP and RESTful web services using JMS, JSON, XML/XSLT and FTP. Experience developing with XPath, XSD, XSLT, and WSDL. Experience with code migration and deployment using Visual Builder Studio and GIT. Experience with Oracle database programming including PL/SQL, DML, and DDL, creating packages, functions, views, and stored procedures.

Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education. Scheduling flexibility may be required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle PaaS offerings.
  • Understanding of technical and functional concepts of Oracle ERP, HCM is a plus.
  • Ability to collaborate with clients and/or other members of the team to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
  • Ability to troubleshoot development/production/integration issues with other technical staff.
  • Ability to multi-task in work that is complex and varied in nature.
  • Ability to support users and assist them in the use of application software.
  • Ability to provide support to and work collaboratively with senior-level staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
