8:00 am – 5:00 pm; Monday – Friday. This position is eligible for telework once fully trained.
Primary Purpose of Position
The Enrollment Specialist is the first point of contact for student inquiries including telephone and walk-in for the School of Professional Studies (SPS). Responsible for recruiting prospective students, following up with existing students for both Online Academic and Professional Credit programs via telephone and email to provide program consultation and guide students through information gathering and decision making process of application and enrollment. Participates in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities including: information sessions, program knowledge sessions, one on one meetings with Senior Program Manager and the Manager, Enrollment & Student Services. Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and meet weekly application and registration goals. Utilize approved recruitment policies and formats. Become knowledgeable about SPS programs and processes so as to guide students accordingly. Understand collaborating department processes and manage daily relationships with key stakeholders. Have functional knowledge of the admissions and application CRM Slate and Destiny One.
Utilize Salesforce to document and follow up with prospective students. Update enrollment statuses daily. Utilize dashboards as a tool for follow up and strategy for outreach.
This position requires a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for a wide variety of customers including staff and students.
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four-year college or university and two years of administrative or office management experience in the student services or related field; or equivalent.

Essential Job Duties

Other Work Responsibilities
  • Work with School of Professional Studies Professional Credit programs and effectively cross-train to be knowledgeable about program content and enrollment CRM- Destiny One.
  • Strategize with marketing and program teams to identify new opportunities for program offerings.
  • Assists staff as needed with special projects and collaborative efforts.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Recruitment experience, Higher Education recruiting preferred.
  • Experience working with Salesforce or other CRM platforms.
  • Experience working in a sales environment, sales background.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills.
  • High level of customer service capabilities and ability to develop rapport quickly.
  • Excellent listening aptitude and ability to articulate ideas and achieve common ground in professional setting.
  • Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite Experience, Expert level preferred.
  • Detail oriented with data entry and documentation.
  • Call center experience.
  • Outstanding communication skills both verbal and written.
