Job Description:

Are you an experienced IT professional with a knack for endpoint administration?  We are seeking a highly skilled Endpoint Administrator with expertise in Microsoft Intune. This role involves the management, optimization, and troubleshooting of endpoint devices within our organization's network. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Intune's capabilities, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional support to maintain our end-user's computing technology.

  • Application Management: Oversee and manage critical applications essential for end-user computing. Using tools such as Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Configuration Manager, create, test, and deploy complex software applications to university endpoints.
  • Advanced Hardware and Software Management: Lead the maintenance of computer hardware and software for diverse ITS-supported environments, including classrooms, conference rooms, labs, and faculty/staff devices.
  • Hardware Expertise: Take charge of installing, maintaining, repairing, and upgrading Apple/PC-compatible hardware, printers, and peripherals. Collaborate closely with vendors for parts procurement and warranty replacements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide third-tier technical support and guidance to our Help Desk staff and end-users. Offer expertise through in-person, phone, remote, and email support, while meticulously documenting and overseeing the resolution of complex issues.
  • Inventory and Resource Management: Take responsibility for inventory, tools, and media necessary for delivering support services.    Efficiently prepare and deploy computing resources to public spaces.
  • Mentorship and Supervision: Actively participate in the training, supervision, and evaluation of student staff, imparting your wealth of knowledge and experience.
  • Security and Compliance: Keep abreast of the latest developments in virus and malware prevention, protection, and recovery. Collaborate closely with the Manager of Endpoint Systems Administration to implement and enforce desktop security policies.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Elevate the level of customer service provided to all members of the university community, consistently striving to enhance user satisfaction.
  • Innovative Problem Solving: Continuously seek innovative solutions to complex technical challenges, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of endpoint administration.
  • Project Leadership: Take the lead on special projects related to endpoint administration, demonstrating your ability to plan, execute, and deliver results.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in endpoint administration with a focus on Microsoft Intune.

  • Proficiency in creating and managing Intune applications, policies, profiles, and configurations.

  • Experience in packaging and deploying applications using Intune or similar endpoint management tools.

  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and endpoint security best practices.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

  • Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Microsoft Endpoint Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert are a plus.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.

  • Physical Requirements: Able to visit various locations on campus to install, move, and remove endpoint hardware. Must be capable of standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, and lifting moderate weights (up to 50 pounds)

  • Flexible Schedule: Be available to work nights and weekends on an as-needed basis.

  • On Site: This is an on-site position.
