Job Summary
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) seeks a customer service-focused candidate to provide technical and service-related support as a member of the University’s Endpoint Support Team. This position will provide client support with an emphasis on installing computers, troubleshooting issues with Windows and Mac operating systems, commonly used software applications, mobile devices, and a wide array of peripheral devices.

Essential Functions
  • Installs computers and peripheral devices for clients in administrative units.
  • Installs computers in multimedia classrooms.
  • Provides technical support to resolve complex software, hardware, mobile and peripheral device issues.
  • Prepares computers for deployment.
  • Troubleshoots issues with client and classroom computers.
  • May assist with hardware and software evaluation or testing as part of the development of new initiatives undertaken by supported groups.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned by the IT Manager.

Minimum Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications
This position is advertised at two levels:
Endpoint Support Associate:
High school diploma and 8 years of relevant experience OR
Associate’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and no experience.
Typical starting salaries are between $45,400-$51,900
Endpoint Support Analyst:
High school diploma and 11 years of experience OR
Associate’s degree and 7 years of experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience.
Typical starting salaries are between $54,300-$63,400
*Relevant IT experience in a serviceenvironment or university setting.

Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications


Minimum Skills and Abilities
  • General knowledge of information technology concepts and terminology, client computer operating systems and supported software applications, network fundamentals, IP protocol, and fundamental troubleshooting techniques.
  • Previous customer service work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
