Job Summary

Human Resources provides a variety of services to the University community. This position supports the employment area of HR by handling personnel filing, alphabetizing, matching up of contracts, trips to the warehouse, receptionist/phone duties and special projects.

This position works independently with little supervision. Most responsibilities of this position are time sensitive.


Pay Rate

$14.00/hour


Required Qualifications

Time management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to maintain confidentiality, self-motivation, attention to detail, and excellent organizational ability are essential.

Must be available to work (M-F between 8a-4:30p) 10-15 hours in the spring and fall and 10-25 hours in the summer.


Preferred Qualifications

- Prefer applicants majoring in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- Be available to work during all academic breaks, including summer.
- Prior office experience


Work Hours

Hours are between 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday, starting in the summer with the opportunity to continue in the fall.


Functional Expectations

Must be able to complete the following with or without a reasonable accommodation:
- Retrieve files on the top and bottom shelves.
- Quickly able to correctly alpha sort paperwork and employment files.
- Able to efficiently understand a packet of employment paperwork to be able to organize in the appropriate file correctly.

This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable, an employment history review, based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review.
