Job Summary

The Emergency Management Program Specialist (“Specialist”) is a student employee position within the Emergency Management department that assists in developing and maturing the University’s emergency management program. This position is for summer only.

Broad responsibilities include:
• Assist in maturing emergency management’s presence on campus
• Assist Emergency Management staff with program development

Specific responsibilities include:
• Finalize interactive emergency preparedness-related simulations/games for delivery to the campus community (these have been developed; this role will prepare documentation, printed materials and guidance for effective delivery)
• Recommend purchases related to interactive simulations/games
• Participate in planning meetings


Pay Rate

$15/hour


Preferred Qualifications

1. Academic and/or practical experience in developing interactive experiences
2. Self-driven, motivated, outcome oriented
3. Strong technology competency (Microsoft Office, Windows computers, audio/visual technologies)
4. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate with individuals from various technical, educational and cultural backgrounds
5. Ability to work independently when necessary


Work Hours

Monday - Friday, between hours of 8am and 4:30pm
