Position Summary:

This Skilled Trades Foreman is responsible for leading all aspects of Electrical & Mechanical repairs on ATU's campus. This includes the direct management of licensed plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, and boiler operators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Regular work order data entry & supervision.

Regular work order scheduling.

Collaboration with state and city officials to ensure code compliance.

Scheduling of all preventative maintenance inspections and measures.

Regular employee evaluations.

After hours emergency work organization, and response.

Daily boiler rounds and other necessary daily checks/logs.

Construction drawing and/or plan evaluation.

Budgeting and budget tracking in regards to maintenance work.

Campus event support on weekends or during other "off hours".

Other Minor Responsibilities Could Include:

Part or supply procurement.

General maintenance forecasting or planning.

Large project supervision, communication, planning, or scheduling.

General customer communication and customer service.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

General knowledge about plumbing, electrical, or HVAC repairs, and the supervision of skilled laborers

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma, GED, or other equivalent education certificate.

Preferred Qualifications:

A bachelors degree in a related field.

Arkansas State Boiler license.

Maintenance supervision experience.

Previous experience with formulating budgets, or communicated budgetary needs.

Previous experience working for the State of Arkansas.

Customer service experience in some capacity.

Emergency response responsibilities in a maintenance setting.

High levels of leadership.

The ability to adapt to ever-changing priorities.

Work Location, Environment, and Physical Demands:

This role is primarily focused in an office setting, but the ability to work in the elements is required.

This role will also be required to lift, pull, hold, and work physically in other capacities in a maintenance setting.
