Electronics Project Assistant

The Physics and Astronomy Department is looking for a part-time electronics project assistant to help is supporting the ongoing research and classroom teaching needs of the entire department.

 

What you'll do in this position: 

  • Support researchers in electronic equipment development, maintenance, and facility organization. 
  • Work includes analog and digital circuit design, eCAD, construction (PCB), and component level repair. 
  • Some sheet metal chassis work.

 

What qualifies you for this role:

Required

  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU 
  • Previous EE student, EET student, or Physics student having completed PHYS 245, and some kind of previous relevant employment experience 

 

Preferred

  • Previous relevant employment experience
