POSITION: Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory has multiple openings for an Electrical Engineers in Berkeley, CA.


Duties: Lead the Electrical Cabling and Infrastructure effort for the ALS-U upgrade project at LBNL. Coordinate with subsystem leads to ensure that cabling needs are captured and managed satisfactorily. Generate cabling routing plans and cable tray designs and ensure NEC compliance. Manage contractor design of AC distribution hardware and review for NEC compliance. Interact with internal and external stakeholders to ensure objectives are met.


Benefits: This full salary range of this position is between $114,900 to $193,860 per year depending upon candidates' full skills, knowledge, and abilities, including education, certifications, and years of experience.


Requirements: Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field and 4 years of experience in the job offered or in an electrical engineering-related occupation.

Position requires:

1. AC Distribution and Programmatic equipment installation in an industrial setting;
2. Designing and documenting with NEC code compliance, rack layouts, and cabling plans;
3. Project management experience including cost or schedule management;
4. Managing contractor electrical design work; and
5. Computer Aided Design (CAD) software such as AutoCAD.
