The Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Washington invites applications for multiple positions at the lecturer level in the fields of electrical and computer engineering. We are looking for excellent candidates in the areas of energy systems, big physical data analytics, biomedical systems, Internet of Things, hardware platforms, robotics and autonomous systems. Highest priority, however, will be given to exceptional candidates regardless of the specific areas listed above. We are seeking one or more part-time or full-time Lecturers or Senior Lecturers. Applicants for lecturer positions must have earned at least a Master’s degree and have relevant teaching or industrial experience in the course area. Lecturers and Senior Lecturers will be hired on an annual or multi-annual appointment.
Applicants should possess demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information, lead and manage high quality graduate and undergraduate courses, as well as direct and supervise independent student projects and develop new courses and course content. All successful candidates are expected to participate in department activities, train and mentor teaching assistants, and participate with other tenure track faculty to mentor graduate students and engage in high quality teaching at all levels.
