We are seeking an Educational Research Project Supervisor to contribute to our CS4ALL grant funding project with a focus on summer programming, classroom observations, interviews, and organizational logistics. The ideal candidate will hold a BA/BS in Education, with a priority given to those certified in STEM fields.  Previous K-12 teaching experience is also a priority. 

CS4ALL Grant project description:
This CSforAll PreK-8, Medium RPP Project aims to expand on an existing initiative focused on integrating Computational Thinking (CT) and Computer Science (CS) instruction into middle school English Language Arts (ELA). The project also aims to provide multiple forms of ELA teacher support for successfully implementing the CT/CS curriculum in the classroom, including professional development opportunities and classroom-based teacher supports. The project will investigate how these supports help ELA teachers effectively implement the curriculum and how the curriculum shapes the CT/CS knowledge, computational identities, and digital empowerment of underrepresented students in CS, specifically female, Black, and Latinx students.

Responsibilities:

- Scheduling and conducting classroom observations and interviews as part of the CS4ALL program evaluation.
- Planning summer programming including creation of marketing materials as well as event planning and logistics
- Managing logistics and organization for the effective implementation of CS4ALL initiatives.
- Collaborating with project leaders to ensure smooth program progress.
- Supporting data collection, entry, and analysis related to educational research.
- Assisting in the preparation of program-related documents and presentations.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; certification in STEM fields preferred.
- Proficiency in organizational tasks such as scheduling, note-taking, event planning.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey findings to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a strong commitment to program objectives.
- Not required but priority given to those with experience in educational research methodologies, including qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis

NOTE: This role is for 24 months and will end at the end of the funding period. The desired timeframe for the role is June 1, 2024 through April 30, 2026.

Job Summary

Serves in an administrative capacity and provides administrative support to the project manager and other team members. Assists with fiscal management and compliance with federal regulations and the contracts. Manages day-to-day office operations and interacts with key stakeholders.

• Interacts with key stakeholders.
• Manages daily office operations (responding to and sending correspondence, notetaking,
maintaining office calendars, scheduling meetings, processing orders), making reservations and
travel arrangements, supporting the grant's social media presence, and handling other tasks.
• Supporting data collection, entry, and analysis related to educational research.


Physical Effort 

Must be able to be in-person at study sites as well as traverse across multiple locations throughout the work day. Computer work is required. Verbal and written communication is required. Minimal lifting, pushing, and pulling.
