The Coordinator of Education Programs provides guidance in accessing academic support services and resources across campus. In collaboration with Sr. Program Coordinator, maintains cohort dashboards. Develops testing schedules each semester. Develops semester course schedules and associated teaching grids, when faculty assignments are completed, enters information into TAMS. Registers students for courses each semester. Provides support to assigned Program Directors and program faculty.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Interviews students to assist them in coordinating their academic course of study to ensure satisfactory completion of coursework requirements for graduation.
  • Provides career counseling and guidance in the scheduling of appropriate coursework.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding admissions and program requirements.
  • Provides input into the selection of candidates for admission and provides summarized analyses of application information.
  • Serves as a liaison between faculty and students; advocates student issues and concerns with the appropriate faculty or staff.
  • Designs, generates, administers and scores course examinations, grades tests, and forwards results to the appropriate area for academic processing.
  • Provides direction, referral, and placement resources to students seeking employment opportunities in their respective field of study.
  • May handle registration activities (course applications, fees, and materials) for various courses.
  • May provide instruction in student computer laboratory.
  • Maintains required record-keeping.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.

SPECIFIC PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Assists with planning DABSN clinical and simulation intensives weeks for students held each semester.
  • Executes all related DABSN intensive events and student programming each semester.
  • Assists with DABSN program operations management.
  • Provides direction, referral, and placement resources to students seeking employment opportunities in their respective field of study.
  • Manage NCLEX prep enrollment and cohort maintenance  
  • Manage program meeting schedule for students and faculty
  • Assist program accreditation report process
  • ATI platform cohort set up and maintenance
  • Maintains required record keeping.
  • May handle registration activities (course applications, fees, and materials) for various courses.
  • May provide instruction in student computer laboratory. Maintains required record-keeping. Performs related responsibilities as required.
  • Will require occasional night and/or weekend hours pending program schedule.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or a related field and five years of experience in academic student counseling or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.

NOTE: This role will be granted the opportunity to work from home regularly but must be able to commute to Emory University on a flexible weekly schedule based upon business needs. Schedule is based on agreed upon guidelines of department. This role requires residency in the state of GA. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
