JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, CTSI, in Hershey, PA, is seeking an Education Program Coordinator to support the development and delivery of two public health programs, Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes), an evidence-based education model increasing access to specialty care in rural and underserved areas, and Racial and Ethnic Approaches to Community Health (REACH), a new five-year CDC-funded program consisting of multiple projects and collaborative partnerships focused on improving health outcomes at a community level.

REACH: Specifically, this position will be responsible for assisting with the implementation and evaluation of locally tailored practice- and evidence-based strategies related to nutrition in the Hispanic and Latino communities of Berks, Dauphin, Lebanon, and York counties. This includes data collection and analysis of food environment assessments, the creation of action plans, and coordination with local partners.
 

Project ECHO: Specifically, this position will be responsible for assisting with the daily logistics of supporting a portfolio of educational cohorts and topic areas for Penn State Project ECHO.  This includes monitoring registrations, tracking session attendance, submitting CME reports, and assisting with agendas and other session materials.

The Education Program Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings and training sessions
  • Participating in the development, design, and coordination of project materials
  • Monitoring project documentation and records
  • Creation of data collection instruments in REDCap and;
  • Serve as a liaison to internal departments and external entities

This position requires a strong attention to detail. In addition, this position requires a high level of customer service in order to offer frontline troubleshooting and technical assistance to Project ECHO participants. Career development opportunities, including mentorship and travel to professional conferences, will be provided.

Knowledge of Micorsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint) and Zoom is required; experience with REDCap is desirable. In addition, the candidate should communicate clearly and accurately, both verbally and in writing, demonstrate strong organizational skills, and participate in, and support, team decisions and team responsibilities. Bilingual candidates are preferred.

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

This is a limited-term position funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.

  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$34,800.00 - $50,500.00
