Position Title Education - Instructor
Position Summary
The Dr. Bonnie G. Metcalf School of Education is accepting applications for an Instructor position in Teacher Education at California Baptist University, Riverside, California. The position will start in August 2024. Though all areas of teacher education will be considered, special attention will be given to those with expertise in both multiple subject and special education.
The successful candidate joins a dedicated interdisciplinary team to strengthen and build the various Teacher Education programs at the undergraduate and graduate level. The primary duties will include teaching courses within the SOE.

Pay Range
The compensation for this appointment will range from $55,000 – $65,000 annually and reflects what California Baptist University reasonably expects to pay for this faculty appointment. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications and experience of the applicant, as well as market conditions. In addition to wages, CBU offers a robust suite of employee benefits.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or higher
• Relevant teaching experience with K-12 students
• Evidence of expertise in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education,
Special Education, STEM Education, or related areas
• Ability to teach students across a wide diversity of cultures and ages
• Knowledge of edTPA
Preferred Qualifications:
• Doctoral degree or ABD candidate
• 5 years or more teaching experience in diverse K-12 settings
• Evidence of effective and innovative teaching at the graduate and/or
undergraduate level
Teaching Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities will be in undergraduate and graduate credential courses. Teaching load will be across 3 semesters within the School of Education.
