Montana Digital Academy (MTDA)and EdReady Montana invite applications for a EdReady Ambassadorto join their team. The EdReady Montana Ambassador serves as the key communication conduit, trainer, and master troubleshooter for Montana Digital Academy’s EdReady Montana team in public and private schools in Montana and nationwide. Each ambassador is assigned to a specific program at MTDA, including distance learning, the Clearinghouse, or the EdReady program, but will work across the programs as needed.

Duties and responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:

  • Participate in MTDA and EdReady Ambassador training, attend regular MTDA EdReady Montana meetings and communicate regularly with EdReady Montana Staff.
  • Collaborate with the institutions and EdReady Montana Staff to determine how the system can be delivered to best meet the local program needs.
  • Establish, maintain and evolve regular outreach, communications, marketing, and follow-up with institutions across the state, as well as consistent documentation tracking. 
  • Become familiar with the GeniusSIS and EdReady platform including from both the student and facilitator sides of the program.
  • Provide professional development and support to institutions regarding implementation and use of the EdReady Montana program.
  • Schedule, organize, and facilitate training and follow-up meetings with schools and other local affiliates.
  • Maintain required documentation of time worked and travel expenses for regular submittal to Montana Digital Academy.
  • Present on behalf of MTDA at national and regional conferences several times annually.
  • Staff tables or booths at appropriate state and national conferences to develop leads and contacts.
  • Communicate and collaborate with state and/or national organizations and partners to continually improve and expand upon EdReady Montana and EdReady Classroom.
  • Collaborate with other ambassador staff to find synergies between MTDA programming.

Position Details

  • Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, Letter of Appointment and includes a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Insurance package, mandatory retirement plan, partial tuition waiver, and wellness program.
  • Salary for this position is $65,000 per year commensurate with qualifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in education, educational policy, or related field.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain working relationships with staff, faculty, and administrators.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and technology communication tools (i.e.Zoom,Google Hangout, MS Teams).
  • Ability to work independently outside of a formal office environment.
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement projects.
  • Ability to quickly develop a strong understanding of the EdReady program and tools.
  • Ability to utilize technology for data collection and communication with EdReady Montana and local school staff.
  • Ability to travel regularly across Montana and out-of-state several times annually.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Education, Educational Administration, or equivalent.
  • Experience working with online and/or blended learning or technology-related programs in secondary schools.
  • Experience implementing distance learning in a middle school or high school.
  • Experience teaching and/or developing courses in an online environment.
  • Experience working in or with schools in Montana.
  • Experience teaching in a K-12, higher education or adult education classroom (either online or face-to-face).

EdReady Montana is privately funded via a gift from the Dennis and Phyllis J. Washington Foundation. EdReady Classroom is a companion program to EdReady Montana, delivered to schools outside the state of Montana. The program combines the online math and English readiness tool with a local implementation team to assist users. Services include technical setup and support as well as both digital and offline teaching resources to support usage.
