Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives:
  • Communication – Be able to clearly and effectively exchange information, ideas, facts, and perspectives with thefaculty advisor and any others working on the assigned project.
  • Critical Thinking – Be able to identify technical issues, as applicable, arising from project activities and come upwith feasible approaches to addressing those issues.


The ECE department is soliciting applications for two student assistant positions. Both graduate and undergraduate students will be considered.
These positions are to assist either a faculty member or lab engineer in conducting research and/or laboratory maintenance in electrical and cyber engineering.
Required Qualifications
The following qualifications are common to all positions:
- Willing to learn
- Good work ethics
- Be able to work under minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and good teamwork; hands-on experience in laboratory work with electronic devices and software tools a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
ECE students are preferred. More specific duties will be communicated by the supervising faculty/staff member.
Physical Demands
Some lifting work is required, e.g. moving PC or small lab equipment from lab to lab.
