Job Summary:

The Office of Regulatory Compliance, Research Information Technology seeks an Electronic Research Administration (eRA) Module Administrator.  This position will assist with the technical implementation and support of the InfoEd eRA application in support of Sponsored Research at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus (CU Denver | CU Anschutz).  Specifically, this position will oversee and manage ongoing maintenance of InfoEd eRA modules, develop a solid understanding of InfoEd eRA modules from both technical and functional perspectives, configure and establish workflow logic, routing and custom forms within the InfoEd eRA application and provide technical support to the appropriate Sponsored Research offices as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

InfoEd Electronic Research Administration System (eRA) Management – 85%

  • Manage ongoing maintenance of the InfoEd eRA system, including validation, troubleshooting, and prioritizing issues for multiple modules
  • Utilize ticketing system to track issues and resolutions
  • Develop a solid understanding of the InfoEd eRA system modules from both technical and functional perspectives
  • Configure and establish workflow logic, routing, and custom forms within the InfoEd eRA system application (HTML, JavaScript, complex system design)
  • Assist Research Administration offices with adaptation to and use of the InfoEd eRA system, including technical support and training
  • Create test scripts and test strategies for three modules
  • Execute system and regression tests for new fixes, upgrades and patch maintenance cycles
  • Serve as the liaison between business owners, end-users, and University Information Services (UIS)
  • Design, document, and recommend appropriate system configurations according to defined UIS standards
  • Develop business design documentation for software enhancements, modifications, and interfaces
  • Conduct effective department communication regarding system issues, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Record and track all issues during implementation or post-production, facilitate discussions with the vendor for issue resolutions

Project Planning and Participation – 10%

  • Contribute to project planning efforts by providing estimates and input into tasks
  • Work with business owners to define, document, and prioritize functional requirements
  • Participate in overall InfoEd eRA system application implementation and maintenance at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus
  • Develop a broad understanding of the InfoEd eRA system application and underlying technical architecture
  • Participate in multi-campus technical meetings regarding all the InfoEd eRA system modules being deployed
  • Assist with the deployment of Enterprise and other modules
  • Assist other research administration offices with adaptation to and use of the InfoEd eRA system, including training, support, and collaboration
  • Work with business owners to go over upcoming release/update features that may be beneficial

Access Management and Sponsor Maintenance – 5%

  • Update Sponsors and SubAward entities
  • Maintain the Person of Interest (POI) Qualtrics form
  • Process POI applications daily
  • Answer tickets or emails regarding POI or InfoEd eRA system access
  • Maintain POI ticket notification templates
  • Build an in-depth understanding of PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM), Oracle Identity Management (IDM) and downstream access issues and activities
  • Actively collaborate with Office of Information Technology (OIT) IDM and University Information Services (UIS) teams to facilitate user access
  • Facilitate improvements to system access processes

Work Location:

Hybrid – this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 1 day per month on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, or a directly related field from an accredited institution
  • 2 years of professional level experience with application support/troubleshooting, enterprise software configurations, end user training or technical testing.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Information Technology or other related field
  • Experience with Higher Education and/or research administration, especially sponsored projects
  • Proficiency with HTML, JavaScript or SQL
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting vendor-based applications in the academic research domain, including testing of enterprise level software

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range ) for this position has been established as $63,857 - $76,800.

The above salary range (or hiring range ) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
