E&O Compliance Specialist

Occupational Summary: Assist with planning, analyses, and implementation of strategies to ensure safety a nd regulatory compliance for construction, renovationand maintenance pr ograms for Duke Health facilities served by Engineering and Operations ( includes Duke University Hospital, clinics, School of Medicine, Ambulato ry Services, and Duke Regional Hospital). Contribute to the achievement of the organization's mission through the development and leadership of performance improvement activities in the operational and/or clinical ar eas. Assist with assuring continual compliance with regulations and accr editation standards through monitoring activities and the design and imp lementation of strategies to enhance compliance.

Work Performed

Assist in plan ning activities aimed at improving the organization’s performance in ope rations or clinical quality.

Assist in thedevelopm ent of business plans, including market analysis, SWOT analyses, and fin ancial pro formats.

Identify opportunities for impr oved performance.

Analyze data to identify adverse trends and/or undesirable performance.Utilize performance improvement t echniques and methodologies.

Establish performance targets.

Design and implement strategies for enhanc ing performance.

Evaluate effectiveness of improvem ent strategy through sustained monitoring of performance.

Contribute to the establishment of performance improvement priori ties for departments, functional units and for the organization.< /p>

Support organizations efforts to maintain compliance with regulations and accreditation standards.

Monitor co mpliance through formal and informal processes.

Rec ognize opportunities for improving compliance.

Desi gnand implement strategies for enhancing compliance.

Evaluate effectiveness of improvement strategy through sustained moni toring of performance.

Increase organizational unde rstanding of performance improvement methodologies and principles and co mpliance through the support of and participation in formal and informal professional development activities.

Serve as an e xpert resource on performance improvement and complianceasit relates t o organizational role.

Produce reports and presenta tions on performance improvement and compliance.

De velop, maintain and enhance knowledge through orientation, self-evaluati on and professional development.

Responsibilities m ay include varying levels of strategic planning and human and fiscal res ource management.

Perform other related duties inci dental to the work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications
Education

Work requires a Bachelor's degree


Experience

Work requires a minimum of three years of related OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE business/administration experience.
