Position Summary:

In the midst of our comprehensive fundraising campaign, we are growing our exceptional team of passionate, mission-driven Advancement professionals, looking for a Donor Relations Coordinator who will support the fundraising and engagement efforts as part of the Donor Relations team.

This position is responsible for a variety of projects and tasks, including, but not limited to:
● Manage the annual scholarship reporting processes. Coordinate outreach with scholarship recipients for donor meetings and University events. Identify compelling scholarship student stories for impact blogs.
● Serve as division point person in creating, managing, and sending all thank you video request campaigns using the ThankView platform. Create innovative strategies that utilize student, faculty and staff messages of gratitude to support University Advancement goals.
● Serve as team lead to implement comprehensive stewardship plan for annual giving day.
● Oversee weekly automated acknowledgement process.
● Develop standardized stewardship of donors who support existing scholarship funds and/or who are establishing/supporting scholarships through planned gifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree.
● One year of related experience.
● Experience in overseeing a project from concept to finished product.
● Ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks.
● Ability to communicate empathy, gratitude and philanthropic impact.
● Strong interpersonal skills and a high comfort level for reaching out to various campus partners to acquire information for projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

● Degree in journalism, marketing, communications, English, or related field, from the University of Dayton.
● Minor or certificate in nonprofit and community leadership.
● Experience working in a service-oriented environment working with donors and other community members.
● Experience with Academic Works, Affinaquest (Saleforce), or ThankView software.
● Knowledge of AP style.
● Knowledge of educational environment.
● Knowledge of Catholic traditions.
● Experience in meeting and managing deadlines.
● Demonstrated collaboration skills, including experience as a member of a creative team.
● Commitment to excellent customer service.
