Job Overview

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is one of a few in the United States that contains all of the OB/GYN subspecialties, with expertise in virtually all aspects of women’s health care available to our community while participating in education, research and patient care. Our department has a number of unique, clinical specialty programs that combine subspecialty physician expertise with specialized support teams to care for and teach about specific and often rare medical problems, while providing compassionate and accessible care for women from all economic and social groups in the region through multiple offices and clinics.


The Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) is seeking to hire a Division Director.  Our division focuses on using state-of-the-art diagnostic modalities, including multichannel urodynamics and cystoscopy, for all types pelvic floor disorders including accidental bowel or bladder leakage or lost vaginal support.  We incorporate ongoing research into our clinical practice, as well as into the academic encounters we share with medical students, residents in obstetrics and gynecology and fellows in FPMRS.


The Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery division within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers a leading team of compassionate practitioners with advanced training in the full range of pelvic floor conditions. Essential Functions

The Division Director of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS) will be responsible for the administration and leadership of the Division. In addition, the Division Director will be responsible for developing an active clinical practice and identifying opportunities for quality improvement and community outreach. The Division Director will engage in teaching activities for OBGYN residents and fellows and research at University of Cincinnati Health facilities. Additional opportunities include peer supervision and formal mentorship. Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and candidate background.


Required Education
  • MD
  • Completion of a board rertified residency program

Required Trainings/Certifications
  • Board certified in OBGYN
  • Fellowship trained in Urogynecology/Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery and board certified in subspecialty
  • Candidate must be eligible for a medical license in the State of Ohio and Kentucky
