POSITION SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for all Information Technology support for the Admissions Unit of the Office of Enrollment Services including working with the Information Technology Department to ensure PeopleSoft (SIS) and Salesforce TargetX (CRM) updates, as needed, and coordinate third-party vendors to provide specific support, as required. 

Job Description

The Director, Technology & Data Management will be responsible for all Information Technology support for the Admissions Unit of the Office of Enrollment Services including working with the Information Technology Department to ensure PeopleSoft (SIS) and Salesforce TargetX (CRM) updates, as needed, and coordinate third-party vendors to provide specific support, as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Works closely with Information Technology to ensure timely and appropriate support for all PeopleSoft and TargetX functionality related to admissions and financial aid processes.

  • Facilitates future implementation of Work Day-Student along with Information Technology.

  • Collaborates directly with Institutional Research and Institutional Effectiveness to provide relevant data, reports, and supporting documentation. 

  • Works in partnership with existing and future vendors to ensure proper technical integration with existing systems, coordinate upgrades, installations, and modifications and ensure the timely adoption of all modules.

  • Supports the planning and organization of all admissions and financial aid related data policies and procedures. In this regard, this position will review and reconcile data created by electronic transmission of test scores, web inquiries, and web admissions applications.  Additionally, this position will post data, as appropriate, to databases, reconcile data errors and correct data as needed, and administer/maintain an electronic document management system (Hyland's Singularity/OnBase).

  • Provides technical support for the Customer Relationship Management system to communicate with students, update the website and all online mechanisms, maintain appropriate equipment and processes, monitor email traffic, and provide training to staff.

  • Provides technical assistance to implement and maintain all technical requirements supporting a paperless environment in the PEC including all technological upgrades and staff training.

  • Continually assesses current levels of service and seek ways to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. 

  • Actively collects and uses data to make decisions and improve both individual and office performance. 

  • Develops the required knowledge to serve as a resource to all students coming to the Privateer Enrollment Center.  Will actively seek out this knowledge and take advantage of opportunities to grow professionally. 

  • Manages the processing units for all admission decisions and data entry for undergraduate, graduate, and international prospective students.

  • Supervises a team of 10 employees with three direct reports.

  • Manages technology projects and provides support for the Offices of Enrollment Services.

  • Responsible for the development of training materials and programs for all existing and new enrollment technology.

  • Provides timely and accurate ad-hoc reporting services for internal and external constituents to support academic and student enrollment planning, evaluation, and decision-making.

  • Conducts an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate setting future goals and strategies.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field, plus 5 years of experience in the data management of computer information systems.

  • In-depth knowledge of information technology as it relates to the higher education admissions and financial aid processes, including but not limited to: administration of electronic data management systems, supervising and coordinating admissions and financial aid related data processes and procedures, updates, testing and enhancements, electronic admissions system, data correction and reconciliation, website and online mechanisms, and admissions and financial aid data analysis and reporting.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be a problem-solver and possess the ability to relate to individuals of all ages and backgrounds.  

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced Degree.

  • Highly proficient in Salesforce-TargetX, PeopleSoft, and Customer Relationship Management Systems (admissions, financial aid, security, communication modules).

  • Experience in higher education.

  • Familiarity with the concepts of marketing and advertising in higher education.
