I. JOB OVERVIEW
Job Description Summary: | The Division for Student Affairs engages and supports student learning by creating and fostering communities which promote personal development. Students are offered opportunities, services, and activities that promote connectedness, diversity, inclusion and belonging. The Student Affairs team is comprehensive, is collaborative, and supports the mission to be academically rigorous and simultaneously student-centered. The Student Health Center (SHC) provides high quality, affordable healthcare and resources to students. It offers a range of confidential services to support medical and mental health needs, as well as health promotion and prevention services to guide students in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The Director, SHC Administration Operations, acts as a liaison between students, vendors, providers, and the university, providing information and access to enrollment information for the GW student health insurance program to all GW students. This position manages all aspects of campus hard waiver and voluntary insurance plans. Reporting to the Managing Director of DSA Administration & Operations, the Director of SHC Administration Operations will be responsible for the following:
The position is based at GW’s Foggy Bottom Campus in Washington, DC. The incumbent may perform other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position. |

Minimum Qualifications: | Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 8 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 6 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. |
