JOB SUMMARY

The Director of Ticketing, Sales, and Service position is responsible for managing all aspects related to intercollegiate athletics ticketing operations, sales and service for all ticketed sports and events.

 

This position manages the daily ticket office operations with responsibility for season ticket packages, sales, single game sales, fan retention, ticketing manifests, group outings, establishing timelines, sale forecasts, reports, budgeting, event staffing, control measures and implementation of ticketing initiatives.

 

The Director of Ticketing, Sales, and Service is a highly organized person who will work collaboratively with administration, compliance, event management, facilities, marketing, development and varsity athletic teams, to create and promote initiatives and provide outstanding customer service.  Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, allocation of player guest tickets, premium tickets, special event ticketing, recruit ticketing for high school athletes and coaches to ensure NCAA compliance. 

 

The Director of Ticketing, Sales, and Service will lead ticketing sales initiatives, sales strategies to leverage, attract and grow ticketing sales for Lee and Penny Anderson Arena while managing full and part time staff for all ticketed athletic venues. 

 

The Director of Ticketing, Sales, and Service reports directly to the Deputy Athletic Director, Internal Operations.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

 

Ticket Office Operations
Manage, lead, and develop daily ticket office operations staff supporting intercollegiate athletics.  Foster and maintain strong working relationships with campus stakeholders and fans.  Establish and maintain proper documentation, policies, and procedures for the ticket office. 

 

Education, Training and Service
Central point of contact with ticketing provider, lead trainings and provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders and fans.  Works collaboratively with ticket software partner to establish events, develop and maintain seating manifests, premium experiences, and packages, maintaining financial records and settlements. 

 

Compliance and Integrity
Resolves ticketing and customer service issues and works closely with the business office to ensure proper cash handling and financial control procedures.  Works closely with athletics compliance to ensure NCAA and conference policies and procedures are adhered to. 

 

Sales Strategy, Analysis and Initiatives
Lead efforts regarding daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly sales of ticketing operations and sales, forecasts and opportunities for revenue growth.  Analyzes data related to redemption, fan retention and premium opportunities to enhance and grow fan base.  Develops timelines for season and single game ticketing, develops pricing models and initiatives.  Works in collaboration with sales, sponsorship and development staffs to implement strategic pricing and outbound sales programs and initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five years of relevant collegiate or professional level ticketing operations and/or sales experience. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Ticketing operations or sales experience at the Division I or professional level
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations

An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills have been acquired.
