Major Responsibilities / Duties / Critical Tasks:

 

  • Establish, structure, oversee and administer the Scholarly Activity requirement for students and residents.
  • Establish processes to review student and resident progress and give feedback on projects.
  • Create and direct resources for research compliance for learner-related scholarly projects.
  • Develop a process for learner participation in research projects, which could include QI projects, Community-based projects, Medical education projects, etc.
  • Develop milestones and processes that will facilitate the completion of learner research projects.
  • Develop and administer a database of mentors / projects for seamless student access.
  • Direct and coordinate funding opportunities for faculty and learners related to medical education research.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for research on community and population health.
  • Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Required Education / Experience:

  • Masters’s degree in Public Health/Health Care Administration or related field required.
  • The successful candidates will be expected to show a strong commitment to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows. The successful candidates will also be expected to participate in scholarly activities, University and public service appropriate for the academic rank requested. Rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
