Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
 
Under the supervision of the Senior Associate AD for External Engagement, this position is responsible for growing sponsorship revenue through prospecting, securing, fulfilling, and retaining corporate sponsorships for the university’s intercollegiate athletics program. Additionally, this position manages the athletic department’s season tickets and group sales for basketball and volleyball.
  • Identify potential prospects through direct phone contact, off-site visits, networking, and regular involvement in community/industry-related events.
  • Cultivate and enhance relationships with new/existing corporate sponsors, developing strategies to close and renew business in a timely manner and generate new revenue sources (i.e., video streaming platforms, etc.).Create and maintain an attractive, sellable athletics’ inventory.
  • Design and deliver innovative, customized corporate sponsorship proposals; negotiate contractual terms and obligations and produce sponsorship contracts/agreements.
  • Collaborate with marketing, communication, and fan engagement teams to ensure smooth implementation of sponsorships and satisfactory contract fulfillment, including but not limited to: signage, game sponsorships, in-game promotions, radio, print, social media campaigns, digital ads, and special events.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive sales/sponsorship reports, recaps, and evaluations to assist with annual revenue goal-setting and strategic planning for revenue generation.
  • Assist the Senior Associate AD for External Engagement with season ticket and group sales efforts, including but not limited to: contacting current ticket holders; supervising fan development graduate assistant and interns; creating a season ticket renewal brochure; etc.
  • Comply with all NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Athletics policies.

  • Ability to work extended hours, including games and events on evenings and weekends.

Required Education Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
   
Required Experience Minimum 3-5 years of professional sales experience with a demonstrated track record of success. Background in sponsorships and ticket sales in intercollegiate athletics highly preferred.
