Director of Outreach & Recruitment

Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the following position: Director of Outreach & Recruitment in the HTC Honors College.
The Director of Outreach and Recruitment will work closely with the HTC Honors College leadership team to develop and implement an effective outreach and recruitment program for the college. The person in this position will develop collaborative relationships with the Office of University Marketing and Communication and the Office of Admissions and Merit Awards, to ensure that the college’s efforts align well with overall university initiatives around outreach, marketing, communication, and recruitment.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Direct the development, editing, and production of the HTC Honors College website, program advertising, promotional flyers, and recruitment initiatives.
· Create and manage social media channels and digital marketing campaigns to engage current and prospective HTC Honors College students in order to elevate the image of the college, solidify the brand, and build a cohesive community.
· Develop, plan, and implement events which increase internal and external visibility of the college.
· Develop and maintain communication (via social media, telephone, postal mail, and/or e-mail) with prospective students, parents, and high school and community college counselors through all stages of recruitment and admission processes.
· Supervise 5-10 student workers whose focus is on developing effective strategies to increase student engagement with marketing, social media, and events.
· Work with the Director of Honors Programming to coordinate and supervise the Honors Ambassador program.
· Develop and coordinate the HTC Honors College admissions process.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree and professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material are required. A master’s degree and two (2) years of experience in marketing (unrelated to sales), organizational communication, and/or event planning are preferred. Experience working in an institution of higher education, interacting with prospective students and their families, and working effectively in an environment subject to tight deadlines is also preferred. A successful candidate will have superb writing skills and mastery of grammar and spelling, and will have a demonstrated ability to develop communication and marketing materials.

Public Information Director I (BC30/61122265/FTE-S00963P), full-time position with benefits. SC State Pay Band: 06 . Salary range is $45,530.00 (minimum) to $64,885.00 (midpoint). Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, and Friday, 8:00am to 12:30pm. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
Required Qualifications

Some nights/weekends will be required.
