Job Duties
The Director of On-Campus Recruiting oversees the football recruiting functions related to campus visits for prospective student-athletes. This position coordinates all student-athlete prospect visits to East Carolina University, including game days, junior days, official visits, and unofficial visits throughout the year. Reporting to the Director of Player Personnel and Recruiting, the individual serving in this position is responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Duties:
- Manages all aspects of prospective student-athlete official visits, unofficial visits and designated high school junior day visits
- Liaisons with prospective student-athletes and their families
- Liaisons with campus departments (faculty, professors, advisors, compliance, sports medicine, equipment, etc.) as related to on-campus visits of prospective student-athletes
- Assists with the admissions process for prospective student athletes.
- Plans, organizes, and leads the football department’s recruiting meetings as related to on campus visits
- Monitors and maintains the tracking and reporting of student-athlete countable athletically related activities for Football and the Athletics Compliance office
- Manages recruiting student workers’ schedules, training, and projects
- Ensures prospective student-athlete information is up-to-date, complete, and accurate in the recruiting/compliance database
- Manages daily recruiting functions, including but not limited to, recruiting mail outs and digital media communications with prospective student-athletes, high school coaches, junior college coaches, and ECU position /area coaches
- Nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and travel are required in the performance of duties.
Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
