Advertised Job Summary
Serves as Director of Information Technology for the USC School of Medicine Greenville. Plans and directs the implementation of short and long-range network and telecommunication activities and objectives for the School of Medicine’s campuses and to demonstrate commitment to conducting business lawfully and ethically by consistently adhering to compliance policies, procedures and regulations
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems, business administration or related field and 5 years experience in computer operations or a related field; or equivalency with at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems, business administration or related field and 7 years experience in computer operations or a related field; or equivalency with at least 2 years of  supervisory experience. 
VmWare Virtual Network design and implementation
experience® – Project management – CompTIA A+ Certification – CompTIA Network+ Certification
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Knowledge of the principles, practices and industry standards of information technology systems. Knowledge of IT strategic plans/roadmaps to include system architecture. Skilled in integrating applications and making recommendations to senior leadership regarding future state design. Knowledge of data privacy and information security laws and best practices. Knowledge of Office 365 and online meeting and collaboration tools. Must have strong organizational skills, excellent judgment, and the ability to assess, analyze and manage complex situations. Must have the ability to lead a team of employees, the ability to coordinate the efforts of many different areas, motivate individuals and groups to action, and monitor progress under tight time constraints and other pressures. Direct evidence of strong fiscal management and cost-efficient technology strategies is necessary.
