Position Summary
The Director of Faculty Support Services is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the Office of Faculty Support Services (FSS). This position reports to the Senior Associate Dean for Administration, Finance and Operations and is responsible for ensuring that the faculty is provided with the necessary assistance to foster constructive legal scholarship and teaching.
Conditions of Employment
This position may require additional hours beyond the typical work week, to include occasional overnight and weekend work as needed to meet the business needs of the operation.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Extensive experience in administrative support and office management.
  • Experience in editing and publication of scholarly work.
  • Proficiency in a diverse range of computer applications, including basic word processing software such as Word and Word Perfect, proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, knowledge of web-based programming, and expertise in Adobe Suite of applications.
  • Experience in a dynamic and demanding environment where multi-tasking is necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate various systems independently and simultaneously, keep accurate records, manage the flow of information, interact with a wide range of people, supervise staff, manage department budget, and supervise activities related to support of a multi-dimensional office.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education and/or certification in relevant technical skills preferred.
  • Significant experience in supervising, mentoring, and training staff.
