SCHEDULE:

The position is a full-time, 11-month faculty position for fall, spring, and summer terms. Responsibilities are conducted primarily weekdays but will include some evening and weekend events.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

LeTourneau University is seeking an exceptional educator and leader with a strong Christian faith to serve as Director of Engineering Outreach within the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology. This faculty member will work closely with the school dean and campus leaders to engage with and host prospective students and families, among other duties, and may also teach in his or her area of expertise within engineering.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include leading outreach and recruiting efforts for the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology. The Director works directly with the Dean to accomplish related strategic priorities. The Director also works closely with campus leaders such as admissions, marketing, athletics, global initiatives, and development. Primary duties include communicating with prospective students and their families, organizing engineering open house events, hosting engineering outreach activities, and supporting the university’s efforts related to recruiting and development. The Director may also be responsible for teaching 1-2 classes within the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Faculty candidates at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor levels are sought for this Director position.

Priority will be given to candidates with a B.S. degree in an engineering discipline from an ABET accredited institution and a Ph.D. in any engineering discipline. Industrial work experience is highly desirable.
